“7 pictures of my 6 decks. I took 2 of the Teac X-1000R, one with the tag & one with the take up reel. The head cover on the Akai GX-260D is the one I bought from you in 2016.

“Attached is a post of my REEL β€˜ Kids’ in there [sic] habitat.Β  They aren’t usually all set-up this way but I thought I would get them together for a group photo. I had two more upstairs but they are two floors away and, as you know, these things are heavy.Β  I usually have four connected to the main system, 2 in full play/rec capabilities and two in playback-only.”
“PS the machine in the lower right is recording Larry on Jack, who mentioned you 20 mins ago.”

Greetings,
Just wanted to say THANK YOU for the fantastic tutorial on the B77/PR99 disassembly for servicing the switches and VU meters. I found it extremely clear, well written and informative as I was doing this exact task. A great help.
I have a follow up question on a PR99 MKI and I hope you may be able to help.
The CAL/UNCAL switches, originally an ITT push button type switch I believe and often called “Magik Eye”. More times than not they seem to be broken with the clear caps missing.
Is there a replacement that you are aware of for these? I have seen some for sale overseas but……
Would you have a source for these you would be willing to share, or do you have some for sale?
New or used would work as long as unbroken and in working condition, I need qty 2. These seem to be like hen’s teeth as I’m not even seeing them on the bay’. I see that Mouser or Digikey may have but it’s hard to determine (for me) exactly what to order.
Anyway, thanks for the great info on your site and take care. Stay Safe.
Best Regards,
Dan
